Intermediate result

Today I visited the joiner’s workshop of the joiner who’s building the box for my table. I discussed some last details on the position of the fans, a air outlet and some speakers. I also took two pictures of the actual status of the box. There’s still a lot of work to do, but he’ll hopefully finish it by friday, so it’s ready for varnishing.

    Hi,

    It’s still me. I would like to know how many dollars cost the table (make by the jointer). I asked to a joiner for a quotation, but I no idea of the price. Of course I need a beautiful table, if I do this table, I’m think it may be
    not very nice ! ;)

    Hey,

    the box cost 1.000 €, that’s round about 1.400 $ at the moment. It’s made of “MDF” (medium density fiberboard) and painted matt several times on the ouside and once on the inside.

    The wanted specials contribute to the price like the doors, the liftable lid, the air outlets and so on.

    At the first moment I couldn’t believe, that it’ll be so expensive, but if you calculate, how long it would take to do such a box by yourself, the price is justified.

    You’re probably right. It seems a bit expensive, so I thought to do myself, but I am not sure of the result ;)
